History of Sri Rayadurgam Bham Bham Swamy

After Chippagiri Bhambham Swamiji attained Sajeeva Samadhi, his ideals and philosophical essence were spread to the world by Sri Bham Sheik Abdul Das. Following the guidance of his Guru, he dedicated his life in practicing Raja Yoga Dharma.
Bham Sheik Abdul Das served as a Jamadar (a police officer) in the police department. He was transferred to Hachcholi village in the Siruguppa taluk of Bellary district. There, he built strong relationships with the village elders. In honour of his Guru, he conducted bhajans every Monday and Thursday, eventually gaining recognition in the neighboring villages as "Bhambham Jamadar Swami."
One day, early in the morning, Swamiji hurriedly set out to bathe in a nearby river. The path was overgrown with thorny bushes. As he walked briskly, a sharp thorn pierced his foot, causing severe bleeding. Upon seeing the blood, Swamiji's vision blurred, and he fainted on the spot. At that time, the place was completely deserted.
However, in one of the bushes nearby, two great saints had been in deep Samadhi (meditative absorption) for centuries. Seeing Swamiji unconscious on the ground, they manifested in a visible form and healed his wound, brought him back to consciousness. Sitting before him, the two saints said,
"O child, do not fear the wound you have sustained. We have been in this place for countless centuries. Our names are Syed Auliya and Mastan Vali Allah. Until now, no one has recognized us. You, a blessed devotee, have been able to see us due to the grace of your Guru. We are pleased.
Now, we ask you to inform the village elders about our presence and spread our divine existence among all. Initially, one of our Dargahs will become visible, and after a few years, the second saint’s Dargah will also manifest. Have prayers and offerings performed in our names, and you will be blessed."
Placing their hands upon Swamiji’s head, they blessed him and vanished. Instantly, the pain in his foot disappeared.
Swamiji immediately returned to the village and, that very night, summoned the village elders to the bhajan mandir (prayer hall). During the puja (worship), he narrated his divine experience of witnessing the saints. Astonished, the village elders decided to verify the truth.
They proceeded to the outskirts of the village and cleared the thorny bushes. To their amazement, a Samadhi (sacred tomb) was revealed, filling the air with a divine fragrance from blossoming flowers. Enchanted by this divine presence, they bowed in reverence.
Realizing that Jamadar Swamiji's words were indeed true, the villagers began offering daily prayers and services to Bhambham Swamiji. From that moment onwards, with the blessings of these saintly beings, devotees experienced the fulfillment of their wishes, healing from incurable diseases, and miracles that made the place widely renowned.
